Ex-Gay Industry Reacts to Uganda’s “Kill the Gays” Law

Rachel Maddow hosted another segment last night (the first one is here) about Uganda’s proposed “Kill the Gays” law. She got some pretty…interesting responses from the Ex-Gay Industry representatives who worked with the Uganda government in March.

The news today is that the Uganda legislature is considering changing the death penalty for being gay to a life sentence.

More tomorrow (the easy money is on Rick Warren being one of the household names Rachel was talking about), but here’s a question to puzzle over in the meantime: Why isn’t this getting more news coverage? This proposed law would clearly be a danger both to gay and straight people on top of being a significant breach of human rights.

Besides the obvious (Tiger Woods gets better ratings), why aren’t national and international media on this?
